Process > Product is this Thursday at the Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery.
The event will get started around 8:30 and end at Midnight. It is a multimedia mash-up of sights and sounds and Now Yr Taken will be performing along with several other performers.
There will be 3 Synths (1 Moog, 1 Roland New Juno type, 1 Korg mini)
and 1 Rhodes. 1 Guitar amp and 1 Guitar. 1 Bass amp and 1 Bass. A Drum
set. Various Mics and line drops to hook up laptops etc.
Apparently for video there are screens in various sizes, and crazy A/V dudes who are going to blow minds with mad visuals. They are also looking into getting some other visual capabilities happening.
Come out if you think it sounds good. $4. You can't go wrong.

NOW YR TAKEN IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THE RELEASE OF THE LONG AWAITED MEL2YYZ EP.
THERE IS A SHOW TO CELEBRATE THE FACT THAT MIKEY ACTUALLY ENDED UP PUTTING OUT A RECORD, AND YOU ARE ALL INVITED.
MEL2YYZ IS A CONCEPT ALBUM ABOUT LOVE AND LOSS, DISTANCE AND TIME, WONDER AND FEAR, AND FEATURES THE TRACKS "HOME" AND "ROBOT GHOST" ALONG WITH SOME OTHER BONUS LIVE MATERIAL FROM OVER THE HISTORY OF THIS PROJECT.
THE EP WAS RECORDED IN MELBOURNE AUSTRALIA BY SETH REES OF AMPLIFIER MACHINE AND FEATURES JACOB PEARCE FROM BECAUSE OF GHOSTS ON DRUMS.
THEY WILL BE SOLD FOR $7 WHICH IS PRETTY GOOD SINCE TECHNICALLY THIS IS A LIMITED EDITION COLLECTORS ITEM.

taking a big risk, hosting yr heroes on a cross country mission, meeting friends and contemporaries along the way, small town inclusion making for some radical performances, kids travelling across borders to witness the spectacle, learning to appreciate nature, the stillness of the water, the wind in the trees, just you, leslie fiest and a hawk flying overhead, the open road, the thunder crashing overhead, your favorite band rehearsing in the next room, being a friendly ambassador, planting the seeds of greatness with good intentions, more heroes approach and offer thier services, wine, no women, but songs and such. i'm having an awesome time out here, and i don't ever want to go to work again!
